My name is Dr. Renee C. MacLeod and I have been a physician for over 11 years. As a family practice physician in the Los Angeles area I have thoroughly enjoyed my career thus far. As a 39 year old launching my second career I entered medical school with fierce determination and a touch of trepidation. I have never looked back and feel that I was born to be a doctor and I enjoy every day of my service.

We established our solo private practice medical office in 2002. Having no business training and lots of determination we hung our shingle and soon a steady stream of patients were filing in. Reimbursements for medical care can take up to 6 months to be realized so we secured a Small Business Association loan to cover operation expenses until our income stabilized. We became quite successful and exceeded our income projections in a short timeframe.

In 2008, we decided to completely restructure our business model with the goal of providing innovative concierge comprehensive healthcare to a limited number of patients. This would mean scaling back our patient base from 3500 to a potential 600 patients. We knew that we were making the right career move and would be available to provide the highest quality of healthcare, but an income drop was imminent. In preparation for this, we decided to establish and secure open lines of credit so that we could draw upon it should the need rise.

We heard an advertisement on the Michael Savage AM radio program for Nevada State Corporate Network and decided to give them a call and see what they could do for us. Whats a resident agent (registered agent, corporate agent or statutory agent), and why do I need one

A resident agent is an entity or person, designated in the articles of incorporation a.k.a articles of organization, who can accept legal documents and notifications from a state office on behalf of a corporate entity. All corporations and Limited-Liability Companies (LLCs) must choose an entity or a person to be the registered agent. There are only a few restrictions regarding who can be a resident agent. Otherwise, the entity must be located at a physical street address within the state of incorporation and available during normal business hours.
If you act as your own agent, you must always be open to accept service of process.  Therefore, you don’t have the flexibility to close your office at will or have flexible hours.  Finally, you will appreciate having a professional registered agent service to periodically track and notify you of due dates of annual reports and other items that you may have file.
If you don’t have a reputable and reliable registered agent, you could lose your corporate or Limited-Liability Company status and pay many fines. In fact, Nevada State Corporate Network provides national Registered Agent services as to most of our clients.
